Meet the Founder

Founding Story 

River Stone Hospitality Group, a high-end luxury catering company, was founded by Narwunu Vorkpor in his 20s. Growing up in a family that frequently hosted parties, Narwunu learned the art of planning and hospitality from his mother and father. They often organized events, teaching him the importance of meticulous planning, effective communication, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. This early exposure to event planning and hospitality laid a strong foundation for his future endeavors.

Narwunu's first job was at a catering company, where he gained hands-on experience in the industry. He quickly learned the ins and outs of catering, from menu planning to event execution. This job not only honed his skills but also fueled his desire to innovate and improve the catering experience.

In high school, Narwunu's entrepreneurial spirit came to life when he started his own business making and selling corsages and boutonnieres to fund his prom expenses. This venture was a success and ignited his passion for business. It taught him valuable lessons in entrepreneurship, customer service, and the importance of delivering a quality product.

Narwunu realized the power of food in building community. He saw that food was more than just sustenance; it was a universal language that brought people together. Recognizing this, he began hosting dinners and events, inviting friends, acquaintances, and even strangers to share a meal. These gatherings were not just about the food, but about creating an atmosphere where people felt welcome and valued. The smells of delicious dishes, the sound of laughter, and the sight of beautifully set tables all contributed to an unforgettable experience.

His vision was to create a catering company that offered more than just food—it offered an experience.
